We have an artwork that can challenge our imagination and potential in working with patience and meticulous handwork. This is Origami, the art of folding paper by simple square paper to turn into an imagination that will manifest great representation of something we need to perceive. Origami rocket ship is one of these meticulous artworks that come from our patience and knowledge in the art of folding.
Since you have the square sheet, you can make an Origami rocket ship simply by making fold and creases. You want to fold the square paper in half to make two diagonal folds showing an X. Make another fold to form a horizontal line, and then lift-open the fold to see an X and a horizontal line.
You want to fold the paper again and take the right part and make a flap by folding the paper to reach the middle; do it as well on the left part and now you have a triangle. Now you need to fold each flap making sure that the tip of the flap reach the top of the triangle; do the folding on the remaining sides.
To continue with the Origami rocket ship, you want to make a squash fold by taking one flap and open it to make the tip touch the inner tip; do on the remaining flaps. Next is that you want to make a petal fold on each flap. Do to the remaining flaps and you can have a kite shape on the flaps.
You may now lift each flap’s corner and fold it to the inner part to complete the petal fold. Do the same to the remaining three sides. Then fold the petal structures in half. You now have the petal folds tucked; you need to hold the lower portion and open the folds on the right.
Fold one side inside and make sure that the edge reaches the inner center portion. Do the same to the remaining edges. You may now open the fold and swing it outward, you can see a hood and you want to squash it. Do to the remaining petals.
Now you have the seemingly Origami rocket ship. Take the lower portion and tuck it inside then flat it. Do it on the other side. Now open you rocket ship and fold the other side. You can see that the other edge is dragged along; you need to flatten it. Do it on the remaining three.
To complete your Origami rocket ship, fold and tuck the lower portion of the rocket ship and flatten it good.
